Saints NFL Draft Rumors: Everything You Need To Know Heading Into This Week's Draft

The 2015 NFL Draft is just a few days away, and there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the festivities in Chicago if you’re a New Orleans Saints fan. Here’s our breakdown of everything Saints fans need to know heading into draft week.

Saints A Good Bet To Trade Up?

There’s always that one trade on draft day that no one saw coming which shakes the very landscape of the top of the NFL Draft. According to NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah, the New Orleans Saints are a good candidate to bet on in 2015 when it comes to trading up into the top ten of the draft.

Jimmy Graham is gone. Kenny Stills is gone,” Jeremiah said on NFL Network’s “Path to the Draft” recently, via NFL.com. “Brandin Cooks, let’s give him a running mate. Kevin White would look good with the Saints. But maybe the Saints, who are in the South division and are thinking Southeastern Conference, go all the way up to No. 4 and grab Amari Cooper. Let’s have a happy Drew Brees.”

Randy Gregory A Top Target If Saints Stay Put?

Nebraska Cornhuskers pass rusher Randy Gregory saw his draft stock take a hit after testing positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine. However, SI's Peter King thinks that Gregory's stock is in better shape than initially thought.

“Randy Gregory’s positive pot test and weighing 235 at the combine scared off many teams near the top of the draft — but some of those teams, after due diligence, are feeling more comfortable with Gregory early in the round,” King wrote earlier in the month.

Whether or not the teams ahead of the Saints make a move on Gregory remains to be seen, but keep an eye on the Saints if he falls into their laps at #13. New Orleans is the market for a versatile impact player on the edge, and Gregory could very well be their guy.
