New Orleans’ ancestral NBA team in Utah is pretty good, even without their best player in uniform.
The Jazz beat the Pelicans 108-100 late Monday night, hitting 15-of-27 3-pointers and a bunch of contested shots in the final couple minutes to seal it, all without All-Star Gordon Hayward.
The Pelicans are 6-3 in their last 9 but surely out of the playoff race with Denver and Portland currently tied for the 8th spot in the west and sitting 4.5 games ahead of New Orleans.
