NM State Puts up a Solid Performance at the WAC Championships

NAMPA, IDAHO - The New Mexico State track and field team competed in the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday.

Katara Nelson placed third in the 200 meter preliminaries. The senior clocked in at 24.98 behind two runners from Utah Valley. Tanisha Scott (25.26) and LaShira Tremble (25.40) also qualified for the event finals.

Tremble finished first in the preliminaries in the 60 meter dash. The freshmen clocked in at 7.59. Scott qualified for the event finals with a time of 7.76.

In the 400 meters preliminaries, Nelson finished with the second best time (56.
