Farmer Named WAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

DENVER - New Mexico State women's track and field junior Kayli Farmer was named this week's Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. This is the third honor of the season for Farmer.

Farmer won the javelin at the UTEP Invitational last Saturday with a season-best mark of 46.49m (152-6). She also competed in the high jump, taking third with a mark of 1.65m (5-5). Her throw in the javelin ranks first in the WAC and 29th in NCAA West.

For their next meet, the Aggies travel to the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, Calif.
