BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – New Mexico State (12-4, 3-0 WAC) took care of business in their Western Athletic Conference road test of the season on Thursday, as they swept CSU Bakersfield (4-11, 1-1 WAC) 26-24, 25-20, 25-19. NM State has now won six straight and 17 straight WAC matches, dating back to last season.
"I challenged our group to become more competitive, and I think we did that tonight," said head coach Mike Jordan. "I always think CSU Bakersfield is one of the most competitive teams in the conference, and they may be the most competitive.
