New Mexico Falls to Illinois State in MW-MVC Challenge, 79-74

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men's basketball fell to Illinois State Saturday night in Normal, Ill., falling 79-74 in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge. The Lobos are now 5-3 on the season.

The Lobos were led by junior Elijah Brown. He finished with a game-high 21 points, shooting 6-for-17 from the field. He was 3-for-11 from the three and perfect, 6-for-6, from the foul line. He had 15 points in the first half. Freshman Damien Jefferson came off the bench to score 12 points.
