The Devils agreed to terms with forward Lee Stempniak on a one-year, $850,000 contract Saturday.
Stempniak was with the Devils on a professional tryout contract, having signed Sept. 16, prior to training camp.
Stempniak, 32, had 15 goals and 28 points with the New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets last season. In 10 seasons with the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Rangers and Jets, he has 165 goals and 369 points in 708 games.
