Devils sign Colton White, Blake Speers to entry-level deals

The Devils signed defenseman Colton White and forward Blake Speers to entry-level contracts, the team announced Wednesday.

The two 19-year-old prospects have inked three-year deals with the Devils after they played together with Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the OHL for the past three seasons.

Both players with 2015 Draft picks by the Devils, with Speers going in the third round at 67th overall, followed by White in the fourth round at 97th overall.

Speers led the Greyhounds in scoring during 2015-16, finishing with a career-high 74 points on 26 goals and 48 assists in 68 games, and he served as team captain.
