Devils prospect John Quenneville on Monday was named the WHL’s Player of the Week for the period ending April 26.
Quenneville matched a career high on Friday with five points (2g-3a) in the Brandon Wheat Kings’ 9-4 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Final. Brandon took a 2-0 lead in the series with a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday. Game 3 was set for Tuesday night in Calgary.
The Devils’ first-round pick in 2014, Quenneville posted 17 goals, 30 assists for 47 points in 57 games this season, his third with Brandon.
