NEWARK– Akiel Fogoe had a big smile on his face as he walked into the New Jersey Devils locker room and saw a custom made jersey and new goalie equipment waiting for him.
Devils head coach John Hynes with the help of the teams mascot, N.J. Devil, presented Fogoe with a signed Cory Schneider jersey as well new goalie pads, helmet, skates and stick.
"I was very excited and surprised," said Fogoe about receiving all the new equipment.
Akiel and his family lost their home in a fire on July 11, 2015.
