Much has been made of the Revolution’s dynamic back line this season. Chris Tierney, Kelyn Rowe and Je-Vaughn Watson have all earned starts at left back. And Josh Smith has entered the mix for minutes at center back, making five starts in his rookie campaign.
One position that hasn’t fluctuated? Right back, where Andrew Farrell has started in all 12 Revolution matches this season. In fact, Farrell has served as a model of consistency since joining the Revs in 2013, making 32 starts in each of his five seaons.
Yet on Saturday, Farrell won’t make his 13th start of the season.
