Tuesday, May 23 was an important day for the New England Revolution as the club signed a group of Special Olympics Massachusetts athletes to form their 2017 Unified team. The newly-signed players were greeted by head coach Jay Heaps as well as new teammates Scott Caldwell, Andrew Farrell and Josh Smith as they were welcomed to the team.
In partnership with Special Olympics Illinois, the Revolution's Unified team will play a home-and-home series with the Chicago Fire's Unified team on June 17 at Gillette Stadium and on August 5 at Toyota Park.
