The New England Revolution have some roster flexibility, according to club general manager Michael Burns.
The Revs recently announced the current state of their roster ahead of the 2017 season. Seven players were already under contract for the new year while 12 more saw their options picked up. Two players had their options declined and four others will be out of contract as of December 31.
As you may have guessed, these moves were done with an eye on the future.
With yesterday's moves, Burns said #NERevs are "in a favorable position from a budget and roster standpoint to make improvements for 2017.
