FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (2-3-3; 9 pts.) played D.C. United (2-3-2; 8 pts.), to a 2-2 draw at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening.
Midfielder Lee Nguyen registered the Revolution's second quickest goal of the season and his team-leading fourth tally when he headed in a cross from forward Kei Kamara in the fifth minute of play. An own goal from D.C. United's Sean Franklin in the 48th minute helped New England secure a point and extend its home unbeaten streak at Gillette Stadium to eight matches.
Goalkeeper Cody Cropper matched his MLS career high with three saves, including a pair of Save of the Week submissions in the 37th minute.
