The New England Patriots are no longer undefeated after losing to the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football, 30-24 in overtime. It was a painful loss in more than one way, as the Patriots lost star tight end Rob Gronkowski to an apparently serious knee injury and essential linebacker Dont’a Hightower to a knee injury. Howeshver, Patriots fans shouldn’t despair.
Simply put, the ball just didn’t bounce the Patriots’ way in this one. Every time the ball was loose on the snow-covered turf, a Broncos player managed to grab it. Whenever rough luck reared its head, it went the direction of the Patriots.
