Patriots players, fans enjoy tasty first night of NFL draft

SAUGUS — The Patriots may have been forced to sit out the first round of last night’s NFL draft, but that did not stop a crowd of about 200 from gathering at the Kowloon for the start of the three-day offseason extravaganza.

Safety Patrick Chung, punter Ryan Allen, linebacker/special teamer Rufus Johnson, safety Brandon King and defensive lineman Joe Vellano mingled with fans over Chinese food as part of a party put together by player agent Sean Stellato, who counts Allen and Vellano among his clients. Defensive end Rob Ninkovich was slated to appear, but had to back out at the last minute according to Stellato.
