Mike Tomlin expects better headset signal in Gillette Stadium

PITTSBURGH -- Steelers coach Mike Tomlin expects to have no headset issues when his team faces the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

"I’m going to proceed with the presumption that that’s the case," Tomlin said Tuesday.

During last season's Week 1 loss at New England, the Steelers complained of hearing the Patriots' radio broadcast over their headsets instead of their own voices. The Steelers resorted to hand signals and sideline communication.

Tomlin said after the 28-21 loss that "that's always the case" in Gillette.

He hopes things are different this time.
