After losing linebacker Jerod Mayo and guard Dan Connolly against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the New England Patriots also saw running back Stevan Ridley go down in the third quarter.

Per Josh Alper of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "Ridley was upended on a running play and had his right ankle bend an unnatural amount as he returned to the turf. He was escorted to the bench by the team’s medical staff and looked to be having a hard time putting weight on the leg."

Ridley's injury came just a couple plays after tight end Rob Gronkowski was slow to get up after diving for a Tom Brady offering. Gronk would head to the bench and have the brace on his left arm adjusted, but would return to the game regardless.

With Stevan Ridley out, expect a steady dose of multifaceted back Shane Vereen in his stead.
