Patriots Beat: Early plan to turn a corner

FOXBORO — Last year at this time, Tom Brady avoided throwing in the direction of one of the cornerbacks on the field.

He didn’t even look at the receiver who was covered by Darrelle Revis during the OTA sessions.

Yesterday was much different.

With no Revis, no Brandon Browner, no Kyle Arrington, no Alfonzo Dennard, who are now all former Patriots, and yesterday, no Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler for unknown reasons, Brady had no excuse to boycott one side of the field.

So he threw it here, there, and everywhere. Jimmy Garoppolo followed suit.
