3 Top Needs For The New England Patriots In The 2015 NFL Draft

The New England Patriots are riding high coming off their fourth Super Bowl victory in franchise history, but knowing Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, they’re already focusing on trying to repeat next year. What positions are they looking at in the draft to help improve their roster?

WIDE RECEIVER

Julian Edelman has proven he is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league, but New England is still looking for a big receiver on the outside that can complement him and Rob Gronkowski. Arizona State's Jaelen Strong is the best option for the Patriots in the first round, and ECU's Justin Hardy is a good option later in the draft.

DEFENSIVE LINE

New Enlgland's defensive line is getting older, and they weren't able to generate a consistent pass rush last year. Florida State’s Eddie Goldman or Texas’ Malcolm Brown are the two best options in the first round if New England chooses this route.

RUNNING BACK

LeGarrette Blount looks like he'll be around for a while, but New England needs to find someone they can pair with him since Shane Vereen is a free agent. They probably won't go after one of the top backs in the first round, but Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah or Florida State’s Karlos Williams are good options in the second or third rounds.
