The Wolf Pack pulled off a major coup Wednesday by retaining basketball coach Eric Musselman, who interviewed twice with Cal before pulling his name from consideration Wednesday and then agreeing in principle to a long-term extension at Nevada later in the day.
The Wolf Pack has seen a number of high-caliber coaches leave for Power 5 programs over the years. This was one of the first examples of a Nevada coach rebuking a Power 5 school to stay in Reno.
