Nevada baseball coach T.J. Bruce sees his team as a dark horse in next week’s Mountain West Tournament.
“I think we’ve got a shot,” Bruce said. “I really do. We have two of the best starters on the weekend with one of them maybe being the best starter in the leage. We could be really dangerous.”
That, of course, comes with a caveat, Bruce admits: Nevada first has to qualify for the tournament, which will be no easy feat. But at least the Wolf Pack goes into the final weekend of the regular season knowing exactly what it has to do to play next week: beat New Mexico twice in the next three days.
