Jacob Wilner has been Nevada’s golf coach since 2010 and a part of the program since 2008 when he was an assistant, so he typically had a strong feel for how his team will fare entering a tournament.

That feel has been challenged this season.

The Wolf Pack has gone through an up-and-down campaign, although one when cataloged as a whole is among the best in school history. Entering this week’s Mountain West Championship at Tucson National Golf Course, which runs Friday through Sunday, Wilner is hoping the “Good Pack” shows up.

“Our team has been a little bit of feast or famine,” said Wilner, who is in his seventh season as Nevada’s head men’s golf coach.
