Pack's young defensive ends starting to make a name

As defensive end Jarid Joseph started to walk off the field at Wolf Pack Park following Tuesday’s practice, he was stopped by an athletic department official and told he had to be at Legacy Hall at noon.

Joseph was one of four Nevada players requested to talk to the media at its weekly press conference, a notion that shocked Joseph, who was coming off a two-sack game last Saturday at San Jose State.

“Practice ends and they said, ‘Hey, you’re requested for media.’ I was, like, ‘OK,’” Joseph said with a laugh.

Joseph is one of two previously unheralded young defensive ends who have begun to make names for themselves, the other being Jordan Silva.
