As Spider-Man was once told, “With great power comes great responsibility.”
While Nevada’s Cameron Oliver doesn’t own super powers – although it appears as if he can fly at times – the Wolf Pack sophomore has learned this season that with his awesome athletic gifts come great expectations. While Oliver’s play, described as “inconsistent” by his coach at times this season, has been a little more up and down than some might prefer, he’s playing at his highest level as the biggest moments appear.
That likely isn’t a coincidence given the level Oliver hit in the postseason last year when he was named to the All-Mountain West Tournament team – he was the only player whose team didn’t reach the final to make the squad – before his stellar efforts during the CBI, which the Wolf Pack won largely on the strength of his play.
