Pack alum Don Jackson will play for Packers tonight

Former Wolf Pack running back Don Jackson has been elevated from the Green Bay Packers' practice squad to the active roster for tonight's game against Chicago.

Jackson is expected to start and would log the first NFL career by a Nevada running back since Patrick Egu in 1989 (he had three rushes for New England that season).

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Sacramento native played for Nevada from 2013-15 after one season at Iowa Western Community College. Last season, Jackson rushed for 1,078 yards and eight touchdowns for the Wolf Pack. He went undrafted but signed an undrafted free-agent deal with Green Bay and stuck on the team's practice squad.
