Oliver, Marshall reign supreme at Pack's Arch Madness

Related Topics: Slam dunk

Spectacular weather, sharp shooting and thunderous dunks highlighted Nevada's inaugural Arch Madness.

Playing on a temporary court a stone’s throw from the Reno Arch, the Wolf Pack men’s and women’s basketball team showcased some of their skills before about 400 fans. The women’s team was introduced to the crowd before the men’s team held a 3-point shootout and dunk contest.

The favorites in those two events reigned supreme. Marcus Marshall, a Missouri State transfer who hit 45.6 percent of his threes in his last college season, won the 3-point contest and Cameron Oliver, one of the best dunkers in Nevada history, took slam dunk title.
