Justin Brent's playing career never got off the ground at Notre Dame, so he's headed to Nevada for a fresh start.
The wide receiver, who also played running back for the Fighting Irish, will transfer to the Wolf Pack and be eligible in 2017. He has two years of eligibility left.
"Nothing is given," Brent tweeted Friday. "Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I’m ready to accept the challenge. Nevada Wolf Pack."
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Brent, who is from Speedway, Ind., was one of the top recruits in the 2014 recruiting class. A four-star prospect, Brent was ranked 64th nationally by Scout, 67th by 247Sports, 84th by Rivals and 280th by ESPN.
