Comment: Nothing that has happened in the first couple weeks of the season warrants moving SDSU from the top spot. The Aztecs' lone loss was to Gonzaga and they picked up a nice win over Cal. Its three other wins are completely nondescript. SDSU has worked through some injury issues to start the season but its defense remains the best in the Mountain West, by the metrics, at this early stage in the season.
