During the first week of the Nevada football team’s fall camp, head coach Jay Norvell had all of his assistants stand before the team and tell their life stories as a means to build a bond and develop team chemistry.

While many Wolf Pack assistant coaches have taken interesting paths to Reno, none match that of David White.

The Nevada running backs coach had to wait until age 47 to earn his first full-time assistant position in college. He began is playing career as a quarterback and ended it as an all-conference tight end.
