No. 8 Beavers blow past Huskers

Nobody would have guess that Nebraska would have two games in Tempe, Arizona, rained out, while Lincoln simmered in the sun last weekend.

“We kind of get a restart to the start of the season,” said Husker center fielder/pitcher Jake Meyers. “I think the excitement is still there for an opener because we didn’t get to play all we wanted last weekend.”

The Huskers will try again when they travel to Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona, this weekend to face eighth-ranked Oregon State on Thursday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m., and defending Pac-12 champion Utah Friday at 6 p.
