Husker women ready for the next step after snapping losing skid

"We talk about being in love with the process and becoming the best team we can be and not get so caught up in the outcome," said first-year Husker coach Amy Williams.

She wasn't going to buy into back flips or fireworks despite the fact her team snapped, shattered, obliterated a 41-year long, program-record five-game, non-conference losing string.

"It's a challenge as a coaching staff to practice what you preach," Williams said. "We talk to players about records at this time in the season can be deceiving. For us, we're just talking to the team about the process, falling in love with the process and not get so caught up in the results.
