Highly rated out of high school, several Huskers still waiting to hear name in NFL Draft

Those critical of the star system to rate college football players essentially were silenced Thursday night.

That's because, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, 22 of the 32 first-round selections in the NFL Draft were rated with either four or five stars coming out of high school or junior college.

But when it comes to Nebraska players eligible for this year's draft, the star system isn't proving to be quite as accurate.

Through the draft's first two days — rounds two and three were Friday night — Nebraska was shut out. This despite having no fewer than six eligible players who were rated with four stars in high school by at least one of the major recruiting web sites.
