The end has finally come. The last game of the season was nothing short of microcosm of the season. Nebraska jumped out ahead early, dominating the opponent. Nebraska then self-destructed in utter fashion as they were eliminated from the BIG Tournament with a 9-7 loss to the Michigan State Spartans.
Nebraska would fall behind early. After Kyle Kubat hit a batter, Blaise Salter would get a fastball which he promptly deposited into the upper deck at Target Field.
Nebraska would cut into the lead with a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly in the second.
