3 Star Recruits Nebraska Can Still Land Before Signing Day

The Nebraska Cornhuskers and head coach Mike Riley have already put together a well-balanced recruiting class, but there's still a few top recruit targets out there who could take the 2016 recruiting class over the top. Here are 3 Star Recruits Nebraska Can Still Land Before Signing Day.

WR Desmond Fitzpatrick -- Waterford (MI) Waterford Mott

A four-star wideout who uses every inch of 6-2, 189-pound frame to box out cornerbacks while turning on the jets after the catch, Fitzpatrick decommitted from Louisville in November prior to his visit to Lincoln -- a place where he found an "in game atmosphere" unlike any other and an experience he simply called "crazy." Michigan is a real threat to keep him in state, but Nebraska is the prohibitive favorite to get his pledge when he announces on February 1st.

OT Matt Farniok -- Sioux Falls (SD) Washington

The four-star O-linebman had a fantastic Saturday's US Army All-American Bowl, starting at right guard for the entire game for the East team and routinely standing up top-tier defensive lineman throughout the contest. The four-star standout is considered to be a heavy Nebraska lean, with Iowa and Michigan State trailing. He's the type of signing the Huskers can build an offensive line around, so keep an eye out.

ATH Lamar Jackson -- Elk Grove (CA) Franklin

This may be the toughest get, as Jackson is smitten with in-state USC and has been trending towards the Trojans for awhile. However, Nebraska is a solid second for the four-star projected safety and has been all in on Jackson for a month after his visit to Lincoln back in early November. Jackson was visited twice by Brian Stewart and once by Mike Riley in the first week or so of December, and he reportedly liked what he heard. Stay tuned.
