The new college football is still a couple of months away, but recruiting is already at a fever pitch for the 2018 cycle. Clemson has made themselves a force by landing two of the top three overall recruits, while both Texas and Miami have already landed a pair of top prospects as well.
247sports released their new, updated rankings on Monday with a few changes. Most notably among them is that Trevor Lawrence, who has been the consensus No. 1 prospect in the 2018 class throughout the process, is no longer in the top spot. That distinction now belongs to Justin Fields, who recently decommitted from Penn State. In fact, the Nittany Lions had previously received comments from Fields and Micah Parsons, the No. 4 overall prospect, but both have re-opened their recruitments.
