UCLA's Ishmael Adams arrested for suspicion of felony robbery

UCLA redshirt junior cornerback Ishmael Adams was arrested Sunday morning for allegedly trying to steal a cellphone from an Uber driver on campus.

Adams was arrested for suspicion of felony robbery at 3:36 a.m. on Sunday and is being held on $100,000 bail. He was arrested about a block away from the campus police station, according to the Daily Bruin. Adams has not yet been charged. The cornerback is due in court on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

“We are aware of the situation and continue to gather information. As this is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time,” a UCLA spokesman said of the matter.
