Best 2017 Football Recruits In The State Of Ohio: Buckeyes Dominating

Other states such as Florida and Texas get all of the national hype, but Ohio has plenty of top football recruits to be had when it comes to the Class of 2017. Here's our list of the 5 Best 2017 Football Recruits In The State Of Ohio.

(All rankings courtesy of the fine folks over at 247Sports.)

5. 4-Star RB Michael Warren (Toledo)
Already committed to Kentucky, Warren is the #129 overall player in the nation and the #13 running back. The trouble for the Wildcats here is that they're the only program with an offer in, and in-state Ohio State is lurking for the explosive halfback.

4. 4-Star DT Jerron Cage (Cincinnati)
Cage weighs just 275 pounds, but he's got plenty of room for muscular growth and is as agile as they come at defensive tackle. Already an Ohio State commit, Cage is currently the #7 DT in the country and #112 overall prospect. More college football news and rumors inside the Chat Sports Android and iPhone apps!

3. 4-Star CB Marcus Williamson (Westerville)
The second straight Ohio State commit on this list, Williamson is a pure cover corner who's great at reading routes and shadowing receivers when they adjust to coverage. Williamson is the first overall Top 100 prospect on this list (#98) and stands as the #6 overall cornerback in the nation.

2. 4-Star ATH Tyrell Ajian (Mansfield)
The versatile Ajian is a pure two-way threat, currently ranking as the country's #44 overall recruit and #4 athlete. He's the first player on the list to be leaning towards somewhere other than Ohio State, as Notre Dame currently has a slight lead for his pledge.

1. 5-Star OT Josh Myers (Miamisburg)
Myers is the pure elite prospect on this list, coming in as the #1 offensive tackle in the nation and #4 overall prospect. Surprise, surprise -- he's already committed to Ohio State. That makes three OSU commits and four Buckeyes leans in five prospects on this countdown.

Kudos to Urban Meyer, eh?
