(Reuters) - Darryl Dawkins, a 15-season star National Basketball Association star most known as "Chocolate Thunder" for his dunks and flamboyant play, died at 58 on Thursday, according to a Philadelphia area media report.

Dawkins played for four teams in the NBA, including 7 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he made headlines for twice shattering glass backboards in games with his dunks.
