New York (AFP) - The NBA fined Dallas coach Rick Carlisle $25,000 on Saturday for public criticism of the officiating in the Mavericks' game-three playoff loss to Houston.

Carlisle, who thought the officials let the Rockets get away with overly physical play, said he accepted the punishment, but wasn't sorry he spoke.

"I have strong feelings about how I feel about my team," he said.
