The seven-foot Embiid established himself as a defensive standout in his freshman year at Kansas, leading the ACC in total defensive rating (90.9) and player efficiency (28.2). Embiid has only been playing basketball since 2011, and the native Cameroonian is growing by leaps and bounds with each passing day. He has a great sense of body control for a seven footer, and his natural athleticism from his time playing soccer and volleyball shines through in everything he does. Embiid is still growing into his game both offensively and defensively, which is scary considering how dominant he looked in a limited sample size of games with the Jayhawks.
