McDermott’s trophy case is absolutely stuffed from his three years at Creighton, as the three-time consensus 1st team All-American won multiple Player of the Year awards in his dominating 2013-14 senior campaign. As the number one total point scorer in NCAA history (3150), McDermott can hit from anywhere and everywhere. There are absolutely no hitches to his shot, combining excellent vision and a quick release to fill up the basket at will. His elite footwork makes him extremely tough to guard. Combined with his high-effort, high IQ style, McDermott’s natural scoring instincts makes him one of the more intriguing pure collegiate scorers to enter the draft in recent memory.
