Martin leads the way for Navy offensive line

EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the third in a series of position breakdowns for the Navy football team following spring practice.

Saturday scrimmages were not exactly a highlight for the Navy offensive line this spring. Lack of chemistry and consistent breakdowns resulted in overall ineffectiveness for the unit. Too often, the men up front could not create movement for the running game and allowed penetration in the passing game.

There were several instances during the 11-on-11 practice periods when it was a complete jailbreak with multiple defensive players breaking into the backfield.

"Overall, I'm not real pleased with what I saw, but I probably feel that way every spring," Navy offensive line coach Ashley Ingram said.
