Nashville Predators Daily: Offers extended to six, former Predators to Hall of Fame

It was a busy day at the office. On Monday, the Nashville Predators worked diligently to prepare for the free agent window opening. With several needs to be addressed, General Manager David Poile and company extended qualifying offers to six restricted free agents. They are Pontus Aberg, Viktor Arvidsson, Frederick Gaudreau, Ryan Johanson, Austin Watson, and Marek Mazanec.

Qualifying offers serve two rolls. First, it allows the Predators a chance to sign a player. Should another team submit and offer-sheet, the Predators can match that offer. Secondly, if the player decides to leave Nashville and sign for approximately $1.
