The Nashville Predator’s Pekka Rinne is getting older and has played more games than all but two goalies in the NHL in the past two years. As in almost everything, a backup plan is essential.
For the first time in the past two seasons, having Carter Hutton as the backup to Pekka Rinne isn’t a sure thing. He is an Unrestricted Free Agent and can sign with any team he wants to. He is 30 years old and had a .918 Save Pct. and a 2.33 GAA. There are certainly some teams that would like to have him as a backup.
