The Nashville Predators announced on Friday afternoon that captain Shea Weber will not return to the first round series against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Weber has been sidelined since colliding with Brandon Saad in the corner in Game 2.
It's a huge loss for the Predators, who are facing elimination in Game 6 at the United Center. However, Roman Josi, Seth Jones, Mattias Ekholm and Ryan Ellis have all stepped up to fill the void left by the Captain. He isn't replaceable, but Nashville's depth is certainly a plus.
