When asked about the UNLV-SDSU rivalry Aztecs sophomore Jeremy Hemsley replied, “it’s just another game.” Excuse the young Hemsley for not knowing what San Diego State versus UNLV meant, since he’s been an Aztec his team has won by a margin of 19.25 points after today’s 13-point win. The victory was the tenth straight for San Diego State over UNLV.
The young Rebels showed a lot of heart, reducing a 15-point halftime deficit down to six with 3:31 left in the second half, however as often happens talent beats heart. Trey Kell made a tough turnaround jumper to push the lead to eight and then the Aztecs took it back to double digits the rest of the way.
