In the past couple of weeks, there have been many rumors about Italian midfielder Thiago Motta joining the Montreal Impact. Jeremy Filosa of 98.5 Sports has reported that Motta’s agent has said that the rumors were all false and that there was no link between Motta and the Montreal Impact.
With the transfer window open, many of these rumors of European players coming over to the MLS will happen. With Joey Saputo having ties to Italy, it made a move like Motta to Montreal sound believable.
