The most capped player in Canada’s Men’s National Team history and former Fury FC captain Julian de Guzman has announced that he will come out of retirement Wednesday to feature for Ottawa Fury FC when they host the MLS’ Montreal Impact in a friendly match at TD Place at 7 p.m. The former captain for Canada, who retired in January, will return to the pitch for the first time since July 30, 2016. Since retiring, de Guzman has remained with Ottawa Fury FC as the club’s assistant general manager and assistant coach.

“Julian is the greatest player to play for Canada, but never had that ‘last’ game for fans to say goodbye, so we approached Julian about the opportunity,” said Fury FC head coach Paul Dalglish.
