The United States Men’s National Team fell 2 spots in the latest FIFA World Rankings that came out on Thursday. The US, who was sitting in 22nd, now find themselves ranked behind Hungary and Peru in 24th.
This is most likely due to the fact that the US have only recently played 2 important World Cup Qualifying matches, which are weighted more in the ranking system than friendlies. Other countries in the world have played more competitive matches since the last set of rankings came out on September 15th.
Another notable change in the FIFA World Ranking is Mexico also dropping 2 places, moving from 15th to 17th.
